Letter For Movement of Members
Mood:  energetic
Dear V99 Coop Members.

Greetings to all of those who want to convert or who have already converted. I am glad to see so many have seen the light of switching over from the dark side of oil to the clear side of veggies. I am writing you because I actively want to make this Venice 99 coop of collecting and fueling diesel cars on alternative fuels happen quickly, effectively, and efficiently. This will provide an educational model of sustainability and give all of us an alternative to oil. I expect that within the next few weeks your diesel car will be mistaken for a sushi restaurant.

Our first steps as a coop need to be making the website professional, find and collect oil, and create a fueling station.

1. The website has been started and viewed at http://venicev99.tripod.com/. My Biofuel students at Environmental Charter High School and myself have been working on this as a project. It is a free website which has lots of pop up ads (can anyone donate money so that it can be ad free). It also is in its infancy stage and could use suggestions. Please give as many comments as you can to make sure that the website is an effective tool.

2. V99 also needs a collective of people to help find restaurants that will donate their oil.

o This job is good for you if you are an adventurer, community builder, and scavenger. It will take you back to our early ancestral days of hunting and gathering.

o Please contact me as soon as possible so that we can secure oil at many locations soon. It is all about forming relationships!

3. We need a Fueling Station created. The location for the fueling station is at12611 West Washington Blvd., Los Angeles California 90066. We need experts and non-experts alike to help put this together. Here is what we need.

* Can someone with a truck get the barrels (3) in the valley. American Fruit Process on San Fernando Road near Van Nuys Blvd.
818-899-9574 . They need to be dropped off at the Washington Blvd. Location. They cost anywhere from $2-$6. If you know where we can get them cheaper please let me know.
* We need pumps from greaseal.com. Do you know where we can get these for a better price?
* We need large bag filters and also the gas and go filter which can also be bought from LoveCraft or greaseal.
* If you like to design, please help design how the fueling station will operate and look like.

4. The most important thing that we need is positive energy and movement. Some of you as you read this letter might be saying, "I don't even know the difference between SVO and WVO or biodiesel?" No worries. We are pioneering a new "recycled" technology and it gets very confusing. Start by going to our website and go to the "educate yourself" section. The more educated you are the more active you can become. We will be having upcoming workshops to ensure that everyone is well educated.

5. If you can see yourself anywhere in these formative steps please let me know so we can start getting everyone to work. If you can't see yourself in any of the steps and you really want to be part of the beginning stages, also let me know. At the very least…spread the word.

Please show up to the next meeting with two new people on THURSDAY June 8, 7:00pm – this is the first formal membership meeting at the same location: 610 California Ave.Venice CA 90291.
